Co-Founder of Black Convoy, member of Pixelsurgeon, Illustrator, Designer and Academic McFaul is known Industry-wide for his prolific output, with an extensive portfolio encompassing over ten years of prestigious Illustration and Design for clients such as Orange, Virgin Atlantic, CNN, BBC, Toyota, The Times, The Economist, Barclays, Diebold, Time Inc, Computer Arts, MacUser and Design Week... Represented by agents in London, New York, Los Angeles and Paris, John's work is recognised on an International level. Aesthetic is crucial in his work, a beautiful synergy of the drawn and the photographic merged with pattern, with colour and with skill and dexterity which belies his 'process driven' roots in the print studio. Not content with this seemingly hectic lifestyle he is currently working on numerous other projects around the globe notably a range of t-shirts, half of which are collaborations with the likes of iLoveDust, Richard May and The Filth (California), several book projects and the eagerly anticipated Black Convoy shows in both London and New York later this year. He has exhibited, taught and lectured extensively around the UK and is Senior Lecturer in Graphic Design: New Media at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design. |
