Félix Larher Félix Larher has been making a name for himself with his ironic/iconic photomontages that play out bizarre scenes (cue a grinning Claudia Schiffer caught in a compromising position with the Pink Panther), created with a mix of stolen and original imagery. But in-studio, Félix's cut'n'paste mentality translates into real-life comic book dramas. |
"I tend to go off in different directions with my shoots, creating characters and developing them as I go along." Graphic layers are built on set with the models and props, and then pushed further in post production. In this more pre-considered, controlled environment his approach to image making is refined into a sophisticated, malleable and highly commissionable visual language. |
"I did the shoot for a book that I'm making called Rumpus Room [to be published in the coming months]. The American theme is completely intentional - we have a love-hate relationship!" He has a dark sense of humour and a photographic style that really grows on you. |
